VIDEO Explosions in New Chilia, Ukraine/ Intense shelling filmed by locals on the Romanian shore

Several residents of Old Chilia, Romania, have reported that explosions took place across the Danube River in the Ukrainian town of Mew Chilia overnight on Tuesday and were visible to the naked eye from Romanian territory. “It was like New Year’s Eve here last night, it was popping like that,” a local told Info Sud-Est.

The overnight attacks lasted three hours and targeted the Ismail district, Oleg Kiper said on Telegram.

The Danube river port of Ismail, which borders NATO member Romania, has become a major export route for Ukrainian products after Russia withdrew from a UN-brokered grain deal in July.
